This bay is full of beautifully formed coral and teeming with thousands of colourful tropical fish. Cruise 2 – The Whitehaven Beach Picnic Adventure. There is nothing quite like sailing to Whitehaven Beach, situated on the eastern side of Whitsunday Island. Covering its 5 km length is soft pure white silica sand, making it unique and one of the worlds most famous beaches. The warm, tropical water is usually nothing less than crystal clear so it is a great spot to enjoy a swim.
Visit Bait Reef marine wilderness special management area or spend some quality time on Whitehaven beach and Hill Inlet Lookout, the choice is yours. Diving and snorkelling in these areas is available and don’t forget your camera!
Whitsunday Crocodile Safari is a full day nature excursion which takes you into one of the most diverse estuaries of the Whitsundays. Proserpine River is home to approximately 150 saltwater crocodiles, and you can see these animals in their natural habitat, during our two hour river cruise which is a highlight of the safari. Also included is a tour on board our open-air, tractor-drawn wagon-train traveling through nationally listed Goorganga wetlands with bird spotting, a barbecue in the bush under our huge tent (tables and chairs provided) and freshly cooked billy tea and damper. Our experienced guides will accompany you on your safari and will provide a comprehensive commentary on the wildlife encountered throughout the day.
