Getting Around the Whitsundays and Airlie Beach
The easiest, quickest and probably cheapest way to get to the Whitsundays is by air. Jetstar offer daily flights to the Whitsunday Coast Airport at Proserpine, and there are direct daily flights from Cairns, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
Leave your car with Secure Airport Parking for an easy trip home.
If you are staying on one of the Whitsunday Islands, then you will need to make your way by either bus or taxi to Shute Harbour where you can catch a transfer to your island destination. Fantasea Cruises operate a regular service to many of the islands on their very comfortable boats. Make sure you keep an eye out for the whales at play in the Whitsunday waters!
If you prefer a quicker and more scenic route, head down to the Shute Harbour Airport and you can catch a charter flight to Hamilton Island.

Local bus services are available in Airlie Beach to get you around, includingto and from the airport and Shute Harbour. |
